Since 1908, the Boettcher family has been farming on Brookview Acres. What started with a run out wheat farm in the northwest corner of Jackson County became home to dairy herds, sheep flocks, and layer hens. Herefords became a part of the farm in the 1960s as an FFA project. 2018 marks 50 years of breeding Polled Herefords at Brookview Acres.

Boettcher's Brookview Acres truly is a family farm. Butch and Maryellen Boettcher raised their four children on the farm, each of whom graduated college with agriculture degrees and still own Herefords from their own junior projects. The family is proud to maintain the farm in such high standards and to care so well for their herd.
